Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat



Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was out on exercise this Sunday (4th Nov 2012.) in conjunction with the Irish Air Corps & their Augusta Westland AW 139 helicopter.

Mr Kevin Rahill, Divisional Sea Safety Manager for Ireland, called to Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat Station to deliver the new All Weather Lifeboat (ALB)   &  Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) lifejackets. He also gave a presentation on their new design & function. The new set of lifejackets are to come into service with immediate effect.



Chief  Executive of the R.N.L.I., Paul Boissier, visited Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat Station on Ist October, along with Owen Medland. The C.E met members of the Lifeboat station on what was an informal  familiarisation visit.  He thanked all those volunteers connected to Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat & afterwards was presented with a copy of the history of Rosslare & Wexford Lifeboats by the LOM , Capt M.Doyle, then followed a brief inspection of the boat & a few photographs.



Members of Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat Station attended the naming ceremony of the Baltimore Tamar Lifeboat, RNLB Alan Massey, on Saturday September 22nd.


Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat passaged to Dun Laoghaire on Thursday 13th September 2012, leaving the pen 06.15 & returned 20.15.

Lift out at Dun Laoghaire for maintainance & hull clean & anti fouling.
